The writing environment

What the Novelitist app offers authors is a full-fledged writing environment. It consists of:

  • navigation tools, including search

  • a rich-text editor

  • other ancillaries (statistics, work tracking tools, metadata editing, etc.)

You can think of it as your very own virtual writing desk. You can customize it to your liking and those preferences are saved on a per-book basis and reloaded when you reopen that book. This allows you to work in different styles on different books if you so wish.

The interface consists of your top menu, two toggleable sidebars (one for navigation, another for ancillary tools), and the all-important central workspace, containing the rich text editor.

Let's see how that works. Note that upon refreshing the page, your settings are kept.
